Since releasing its first DVD in 2003, I.R.T. has always been a progressive movement associated with authentic pop-culture. Priding itself on an exclusive trend-forecasting formula, I.R.T. has been privileged to document and collaborate with some of pop-culture’s most influential icons. Legends such as Sean “P. Diddy” Combs, Kanye West, and Swizz Beatz have all either, specifically requested to be part of an I.R.T. project, or sought out their media production expertise.
Premiering its critically-acclaimed I.R.T. Ryddimz series in 2006, I.R.T focused itself on the traditionally secluded, Caribbean-American culture of New York City. From its first interview with Di Gaza's own Vybz Kartel, I.R.T. Ryddimz fulfilled a growing void for qualitative access to NYC’s Caribbean-American culture. With cutting-edge content on both notable and emerging deejays and personalities, I.R.T. Ryddimz has received several accolades, most notably from The Fader Magazine as “a homegrown media outlet just hitting its stride” by “shining a light on the innovators.”
In 2008, I.R.T. was lucky enough to reach an agreement with major digital distributor The Orchard, to grow its presence among digital retailers like Amazon.com, iTunes, Spotify and GooglePlay. The deal laid the foundation for the critically acclaimed “I.R.T Ryddimz & Shortman Movements Present...THE NEW ERA Digital EP”. Released in 2009, the digital project featured popular dancehall artists Mavado and Collie Buddz, while spurning the underground hit “Sunglasses” by dancer BruckUp.
Most recently, I.R.T. is anticipating the release of its newest project “I.R.T. Presents… ExSW” via digital retailers. Produced as the soundtrack to I.R.T.’s journey to expand its national reach for content, the “#ExSW Project” is heavily influenced by the ‘New Yorker’ experience within the Phoenix, Arizona hip-hop scene. The project’s first single, “Snoring” by Phoenix’s own Ckorey Blunt also features local artist BOOZI3 and will be available worldwide on May 25th, 2018.
A movement symbolized by the evolution of ideas: from b-I.R.T-h to significance to global influence.
Innovation. Resonance. Trends.
